Rescuing Flowers to Deliver Joy
Miami, the flower capital of America, throws away millions of perfectly beautiful flowers every year. We save them and bring them to hospitals, retirement homes, and community organizations across South Florida.
They become therapy, comfort, and a reason to smile for people who need it most.

Our Mission
Our mission is to give Miami's surplus flowers a second life by rescuing them before they reach the landfill and delivering them to seniors, patients, and underserved communities, where they bring beauty, connection, and healing to those who need it most.
Miami is the flower capital of America.
Due to its proximity to the fertile growing regions of South and Central America, nine out of every ten fresh cut flowers sold in the United States arrive here first, roughly 8 billion stems a year, worth nearly $2 billion, before shipping to florists and supermarkets across the country.
But flowers are on a deadline. Every year, millions of stems become too old to survive the journey to the rest of the country and end up in the dump. Still beautiful. Still fragrant. Still full of life.
Flower-Forward Foundation rescues them.
We collect these blooms from Miami's flower importers and deliver them to retirement homes, hospitals, shelters, and community organizations; places where fresh flowers are rare and joy is needed most. From a bouquet brightening a resident's room to bouquet-making as part of hospital therapy programs, we give Miami's flowers a second life.
